Photograph Policy
1. Introduction
The Warren Agricultural Society ("W.A.S.", "Society") recognizes the importance of privacy and respects the rights of individuals in accordance with Canadian law. This Photograph Policy outlines the guidelines and procedures regarding photography and the use of images at W.A.S. events.
2. Consent to Photography
By attending any W.A.S. event, including but not limited to the Warren Fair and related Society activities, participants, attendees, performers, exhibitors, and volunteers (hereinafter referred to as "Attendees") grant the W.A.S. the exclusive right to photograph them. Attendees acknowledge that their attendance at a W.A.S. event constitutes consent to be photographed for use in print or electronic publicity solely by the W.A.S.
3. Purpose of Photography
Photographs taken by the W.A.S. may be used for promotional, advertising, and informational purposes, including but not limited to:

Promotion materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, and banners.

W.A.S. website and social media platforms.

Press releases and media coverage.
4. Ownership and Usage Rights
All photographs taken by the W.A.S. and its agents remain the property of the Society. Attendees grant the W.A.S. the non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display the photographs in any media now known or hereafter developed, for the purposes outlined in Section 3.
5. Respect for Privacy
While the W.A.S. endeavors to capture the spirit and essence of its events through photography, it is committed to respecting the privacy of individuals. Photographs will be taken in a manner that minimizes intrusion and respects the dignity of Attendees.
6. Handling of Personal Information
The W.A.S. will handle personal information collected through photography in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws. Personal information will not be sold or disclosed to third parties without consent, except as required by law.
7. Rights of Attendees
Attendees who do not wish to be photographed or have their images used by the W.A.S. must notify the Society in writing prior to the event. The W.A.S. will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, but cannot guarantee that Attendees will not appear in event photographs.
8. Compliance with Canadian Law
This Photograph Policy is subject to Canadian law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and provincial privacy legislation. The W.A.S. will comply with all legal requirements pertaining to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information obtained through photography.
